sometime soon, i expect Ted Bontia will clue us in on how our man Rey Cadiz found his way from Araullo High to Las Vegas, USA. meantime, observe how deftly he holds his glass of scotch and soda while obviously having a grand time with his family (left to right) Caroline, wife Cora, daughter-in-law Mary jo, Charmaine and Joey...salud!

Araullo High School - Class '59 Pearl Anniversary Reunion

These photos (courtesy of Josie Dionisio-Salonga) were taken some twenty years ago during our Pearl Anniversary Reunion early in 1989...if anyone had asked me if I was part of this happy occasion, I might have said no (I have near-zero recollection of this event!) but pictures are very persuasive indeed.

Mini-reunion - Bergenfield, NJ

South of the border they are called 'gringoes' - our classmates Ted Bontia, Armand Arbolante, Bellie Narvaez, Frank Lazaro and Jose Jaime de la Rosa got together for a Mini-reunion in... well, closer to the North Bergenfield New Jersey. What did they talk about? Nothing really, they simply wanted to check out Frank's house and maybe even get him to sing a couple of memorable sounds...

Well now...heres a nice little memorabilia from our COTC buddy, Romy Arcangel escorting this pretty young thing - formerly known as Deanna Respicio. As I recall, she would have been a junior (3rd year) during our time as Cadet Officers.

VIEWING THE BLOG

Viewing the photos in the blog really brings back a lot of fond memories. It is so nice to be able to be offered a chance to interact with everybody, particularly those who used to be personally and closely associated with us. This blog is a wonderful tool to perpetuate our friendships and kudos to those who made this all possible.

I really look forward to our Golden Jubilee and hope to see those who've been an integral part of my high school life. I do hope to meet everybody and relive those wonderful days.

Hello classmates

It is a nice feeling to think that I am actually communicating with so many friends through this blog thoughtfully created by Rusty.

Some super helpful classmates have been meeting quite often to prepare for our Golden Graduation Anniversary next year. We all hope this anniversary cum reunion would be successful. Success here would be gauged by the extent of participation of members of the class, whether in person or even by electronic correspondence, and the feeling of reconnecting with friends of longer than fifty years.

To help ensure success, may we request that you sound off on what you want to do and to see for the reunion week. I think I speak for the rest of the executive committee when I say that there is feeling of elation when we receive some form of feedback from classmates when the very efficient Val Parungo send you letters and requests.

The most basic request of course is information as to how to communicate with each and every one of you, whether still in the Philippines or elsewhere.

If you could just help me out a bit, I really want to know where I could communicate with the former Ameurfina Barros, a classmate and former neighbor in Dart Ext. St., and the former Carmelita Domingo, who used to live in Anak Bayan.

Thanks and I hope to hear from most of you through this blog spot.
